The Woodbury School of Business (WSB) is the largest business school in the state of Utah. The WSB provides students with engaged learning opportunities to go beyond the classroom, learning from and collaborating with professionals and real-world projects. Students have the opportunity to participate in competition teams, consulting projects, industry certification, applied research with faculty, internships, study abroad activities and other experiences aimed at building a student’s professional worth and ability to add value to their community. As a teaching institution, the focus is to transform students from all backgrounds and perspectives into successful professionals and lifelong learners who are equipped to act as leaders and stewards of a global and interdependent community.
Students in the WSB have numerous opportunities to be involved in competitions in the community and across the nation, even during modified conditions during a national pandemic. Two students recently competed in the International Association of Registered Financial Consultants Competition, taking first place among 98 other students representing 15 universities. Two student entrepreneurs took third place for their company Bidmycrib at the Utah Entrepreneur Challenge. Other competitions include the AFCPE Knowledge Bowl, Enactus National Competition, and Oxford Global Map the Systems Competition. Exam pass rates continue to meet or exceed the national average, including an 89 percent pass rate for the aPHR certification and 100 percent pass rate for the Securities Industry Essentials exam.
