The State University of New York at New Paltz School of Business is an accredited member of AACSB International – the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business. AACSB accreditation represents the highest achievement for an educational institution that awards business degrees. Fewer than five percent of the world's business programs have earned AACSB accreditation. The School of Business is committed to educating and developing students to be competent business professionals in a global economy. Teaching is our primary mission, which is complemented by our commitments to acquire and apply knowledge through scholarly and professional activities, and to serve our colleagues in the academic and business communities. We offer Bachelor of Science degrees in accounting, business analytics, finance, general business, international business, marketing, and management. It is expected that students who complete this program will possess skills in critical thinking, oral and written communication, teamwork and ethics. We also offer an MBA in which students can select electives in accounting, finance, international business, management and marketing beyond the core requirements, and an MBA in public accountancy. Students who complete the MBA program should be able to assess the impact of globalization on business; apply analytical skills in a business context; communicate ideas effectively; analyze ethical implications of business decisions; and, analyze elements of leadership behavior. The School of Business aspires to be the business resource hub of the Mid-Hudson Valley region.
