University of Northern Colorado, Kenneth W. Monfort College of Business

The Monfort College of Business (MCB) prepares the student to step into a career, their discipline and community where they can have an immediate impact. Whether your interests are to become a wealth manager, an entrepreneur, a supply chain executive, a digital marketer, a public accountant, information/data specialist or any of the many careers driving the domestic and international economies, our college delivers innovative offerings to prepare students to achieve their goals. Our students enjoy learning in “small classes”. While everyone claims to have “small classes”, we follow through with an average of 32 students. More importantly, we are committed to utilizing these small classes to provide a hands-on experience that creates professional development. Our students have first-class facilities and access to hardware and software of the kind used in industry. Professors, experienced business professionals and talented educators guide student learning and development – there are no classes taught by graduate assistants! With this level of professional engagement, it is no wonder that our students are extremely competitive when it comes to regional and national competitions. And our seniors have consistently scored in the top 10% on the ETS Major Field Test in business, the national examination for business knowledge. Our students select from six different areas of emphases in business and numerous program minors from across the many disciplines at the University of Northern Colorado. In addition to the undergraduate business program, MCB offers undergraduate Software Engineering as well a Master of Accountancy and a Master of Business Administration.
