Groupe ESC Clermont is a well-established French Business School known as a Grande Ecole, founded in 1919 by the Auvergne Regional Chamber of Commerce, with the support of various public and private institutions in the region, as well as numerous companies. Over the past forty years the School has engaged in an active, selective policy of international partnerships, a quantitative and qualitative development of its faculty with increasing importance given to research activities, and innovations in degree programs to meet the changing needs of the globalized business world. Through the different Deans and Directors, Groupe ESC Clermont has participated in defining the criteria that determine the quality and specificity of the French Grandes Ecoles: national competitive entrance examinations, selectivity, academic regulations, and continuous improvement of its programs and teaching. Furthermore, Deans have led the School through a period of alignment with the expectations of a global higher education environment: enhanced faculty qualifications at doctoral level, increased engagement in research and the production of intellectual contributions, degree programs in line with European and global structures, enhanced services for students and internationalization throughout the School.
