Black Hills State University, College of Business and Natural Sciences

The College of Business and Natural Sciences houses the School of Business, which offers undergraduate degrees in Professional Accountancy (150 credits) and Business (120 credits) with specializations in Accounting, Economics/Finance, Entrepreneurial Studies, Human Resource Management, Management, Marketing, and Tourism/Hospitality Management. We also offer an MBA degree in Applied Management (30 credits) at our Rapid City location.

We offer students the opportunity to learn from the best in a positive and challenging academic environment.  Our mission is to develop analytical, communicative, ethical, and globally competitive business leaders through high quality teaching, research, and service.  We deliver quality undergraduate and graduate business programs to qualified traditional and nontraditional students from the Dakotas and surrounding regions. With a faculty of academics and experienced professionals dedicated to teaching, research, and service, we offer small classes structured for student mentoring. Our innovative instructional methods include online and hybrid courses and opportunities for experiential learning. The School of Business develops students to compete effectively in a dynamic global business environment, apply research and analytical skills to business decisions, communicate effectively and employ information technology, and analyze ethical issues in business.
