Texas at Tyler, University of, College of Business and Tech

The College of Business and Technology (CBT) began as the School of Business in January 1973. In 1998, The University of Texas at Tyler School of Business Administration was approved of accreditation by AACSB. UT Tyler launched an online Master of Business Administration (MBA) in 2000. In 2008, the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board authorized the Ph.D. in Human Resource Development program. The Department of Computer Science and Computer Information Systems was added to the CBT School of Technology in 2014. The College of Business and Technology (CBT) is comprised of two business departments: Accounting, Finance, Business Law, Management and Marketing and the Human Resource Development department. In addition, the CBT houses the School of Technology which includes Industrial Technology, Industrial Management, and Information Technology (Computer Science and Computer Information Systems).
