Business education at Quinnipiac is distinctly different. Our outstanding faculty, many with industry experience, provides real-world classroom experiences of the highest quality. Small classes from freshmen through senior year provide students with a consistent supportive and stimulating learning environment. Quinnipiac business students will get to know their faculty and peers. This all begins with SB 101/Introduction to Business, through which five-person teams of students run a virtual global business embedded within a worldwide competition among other similar teams. The course offers an overview of business as well as explorations of particular functional areas and team building and communications skills. Not sure of a major? SB 101 is a great place to start exploring the possibilities. And, don't worry; there is plenty of time (up to spring of sophomore year) to make an informed choice once you start as an undergraduate business student. Learning takes place inside and outside the classroom. That is why students from every major take advantage of a wide variety of competitions and conferences that help develop interpersonal, communications, presentation, and networking skills, all of which are critical to success. These complement the professional development program that begins in the freshman year. We know that today's competitive job landscape requires that students not only be well prepared academically, but also able to function effectively within diverse and global organizations. Quinnipiac students are consistently recognized for both of these characteristics and this is reflected in the positive career outcomes they experience.
