The Graduate School of International Policy & Management offers a unique concentration of graduate degree and non-degree programs that address the most challenging global issues of our time and prepare the next generation of global problem solvers and transformational leaders. The Middlebury Institute of International Studies at Monterey has pioneered cross-cultural and cross-border learning in professional education since the 1960s. It is now a recognized leader in higher education with a clear mission for training cross-sectoral global leaders in business, policy, and civil society. At the Graduate School of International Policy and Management, over 45 percent of our student body is comprised of international students and nearly all students have professional experience abroad. We emphasize immersive and open architectural learning inside and outside of the classroom. Opportunities for field experience are plentiful through our practica, International Professional Service Semester, Certificate in International Development and Social Change, Frontier Market Scouts, and International Business Plan courses. In addition, our students receive individualized career advice from the Center for Advising and Career Services.
