The Faculty of Economics University of Ljubljana (the FELU) was established in 1946. It is one of the 23 faculties and three art academies of the University of Ljubljana, which is the largest public university in Slovenia with approximately 50,000 students. The FELU is the largest higher education and research institution in the field of business and economics in Slovenia and also has the largest centre for executive education within a university setting. It has close ties with international higher education institutions, Slovenian business and neighbouring countries, which give it a strong position in the CEE countries. The FELU is the only school in the wider region to have been awarded the EQUIS, AACSB and AMBA international accreditations, thereby joining the elite group of Triple Crown schools. The FELU provides education at all levels (undergraduate, graduate, doctoral, executive and lifelong learning) and in most key areas of specialisation and almost all of them are aimed at an international audience and offered also in English. Our key advantages rest in strong bonds with business community, a friendly environment and high quality experience for students, intertwining of practical knowledge and experience with theoretical foundations, boasting one of the few business-oriented Confucius Institutes in Europe, and having good links to the Central Asian, Indian, and Chinese markets. The FELU has a relatively young, vibrant and research active faculty, as well as excellent professional staff.
